Good evening,
In my recent blog "How to Handle Changes in Your Loved One's Health", I wrote about the recent change in my mother's health condition, leading to hospice care in my home.
At first, I had a hard time accepting the transition. Now, I am much more comfortable with the idea of hospice, and I appreciate the increased care my mother is getting.
Has anyone had experience with hospice you'd like to share?
Thank you.
Thanks Elisabeth for sharing this story. As a teen my aunt was in hospice care in our home but I didn't fully understand what it mean. As an adult, even working in healthcare, I understood hospice as a way of making someone comfortable in their last days. Your blog taught me a lot of information and I will definitely share it.
Hi Elisabeth! My aunt was in hospice when I was younger, so I wasn't privy to many of the details. But after reading your blog, I learned that I had a lot to learn about hospice care. I thought it was only for end-of-life patients. I didn't know there were options to terminate hospice care. Your blog was very informative and I referred it to a friend of mine who is currently going through this process with her stepfather.
